Every year Thanawala Family spreads the social message thru’ Ganesh Festival.
This year Thanawalas will dress up Lord Ganpati as Gandhiji advocating the Swaccha Bharat Abhiyan.
“A clean India would be the best tribute India could pay to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary in 2019,” – said Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, who launched the mission throughout length and breadth of the country as a national movement on 2nd October last year.
You all are aware that Gandhi Jayanti is observed as International Non Violence Day, (coincidentally, which is just after 15 days).
Last week, The Finance Minister has inaugurated the Digital Gandhi – E-version of collected work of Mahatma Gandhi. These Digital images of Mahatma Gandhi will form a part of the Pandal decor.
Also placards on what Gandhiji said about Cleanliness and Sanitation will be displayed.
Look-a-like Gandhiji Mr.Upendra Thanawala will also be dressed up as Gandhi & will remain present at certain point of time.
The family members promote eco-friendliness as they don’t use thermocol, Plaster of Paris etc. for decoration. Even the aarti (a part of pooja) is also made by family members in an eco-friendly way.
